Hello everyone! Today’s post is all thanks to my bored and noisy four year old daughter, Katelyn!
So, I had two of my children quietly napping. Which is fabulous after putting up with hearing all the racket that three children under five years old can make! Then Katelyn decides that she is now bored and starts laughing loudly in a bid to try and wake up her sleeping siblings! Oh no, not today!
I was about to set her up in the backyard with some paint and paper. But then I thought that I will do something that I haven’t done in a while, instead. I will make some homemade Playdough to keep her occupied for a while. And guess what, she loves it and my other two children are still napping! Yay!
- 1 Cup Salt
- 2 Tablespoon Oil
- 2 Cups Plain Flour
- 1 Cup Water
- Food Coloring
- Combine the salt, plain flour, a few drops of food coloring and oil.
- Slowly add water and knead well.
- If the consistency is too sticky, add a little extra plain flour.
NOTE: I like to wrap the Playdough tightly in cling wrap after the kids are done playing. Or you can keep it in an airtight container.
